Pea Lentils-1 1/4 Cup
Onion-1 Medium Sized Finely Chopped
Green Chili-2 Finely Chopped
Fennel Seeds-1 tsp
Ginger-1 Inch Piece
Curry Leaves-1 Sprig Chopped Finely
Coriander Leaves-2 tsp Chopped Finely
Salt as needed
Oil for deep Frying
 
Pre Preparation:
 
Wash and Soak the Pea Lentils for 3 hrs in water.
 
 
1.Add the soaked Pea lentils in blender.
 
 

2.Then add Fennel Seeds,Ginger and needed Salt.

 

 

 

3.Blend into paste by adding 1/4 Cup water(blend little coarsely) and transfer to a mixing bowl.

 
 
4.Now add Chopped Onion,Green Chili,Curry Leaves and Coriander leaves.
 

 

5.Mix Well and check for the Salt.
 
 

 

7.Take a small ball of vada mix and press lightly(if you feel watery,squeeze  the excess water and press).

 

 
8.Once the Oil is hot drop the vada(do not over crowd). 

 

 


9.Cook in medium flame till it turns golden brown on both sides.

 




Serve with a cup of tea.
 
 
 

Notes:

  • Dough should be blended 3/4(it should not be too soft).

  • Heat a Kadai and add Oil.
