
In this post i have shared the recipe of Road Side Kalan/Mushroom with detailed step by step photos.This is one of the most famous street side recipe in India.Different Region will have different versions of masalas.Here i have shared the recipe of south indian version.

This Recipe is prepared with Mushrooms,Cabbage,onion,all purpose flour and corn flour and with some spices.Here are some tips for the best road side kalan recipe.Try to use fresh mushrooms,because fresh one has high juicy content.You can also use Wheat flour instead of all purpose flour.Do checkout the recipe and make a try.

Ingredients:
Mushroom-200g Chopped Finely
Cabbage-1 Cup Chopped Finely
Onion-1 Chopped finely
tomato-3 medium Sized puree
All Purpose Flour-1 Cup
Corn Flour-1 tsp
Rice Flour-1 tsp
Chili Powder-1 tsp
Coriander Powder-1 tsp
Garam Masala-1 tsp
Ginger garlic paste-1/2 tsp
salt as required
Oil for deep frying
Step by Step Photo Recipes
1.Add Chopped Mushrooms in a mixing bowl.

2.Then add Chopped Cabbage.

3.Further add Rice Flour.

4.Then goes in Chili powder.

5.Add Salt.

6.Finally add All Purpose Flour or Wheat Flour.

7.Mix everything.

8.Sprinkle some water and mix.

9.Mix untill it becomes a soft dough.

10.Wet your hands and make a ball sized dough.

11.Heat a kadai and add Oil for deep frying.

12.Add the ball sized dough.


13.Cook untill it becomes golden brown in medium flame.


14.heat a kadai and add Oil.

15.Add Chili powder.

16.Add Coriander Powder.

17.Then goes in Garam Masala.

18.Mix 30secs.

19.Then add chopped Onion.


20.Add Salt.

21.Add 3 Tomatoes in a blender and blend smoothely.

22.Add Blended tomato puree.

23.Further add ginger garlic paste.

24.Cook untill raw smell goes off.

25.Now add the cooked mushroom balls.

26.Add Corn flour in a bowl.

27.Mix with water without any lumps.

28.Add the Corn flour mixture and mix.

29.Smash everything.

30.Cook till it becomes like a gravy.

Notes
- Adjust spices according to your taste.
- If gravy becomes thick add some hot water and boil.
