Ingredients:
Rice-1 cup
Toor dal-1/2 cup
Water-3 cups
Shallots-10 sliced
Tomato-1 sliced
Curry leaves-1 Sprig
Coriander leaves-1 tsp
Red Chilies-4
Oil-2 tsp
Ghee-3 tsp
Mustard seeds-1 tsp
Urad dal-1 tsp
Channa dal-1 tsp
Garlic cloves-10(do not cut add fully)
Vadagam-1 tsp(here I have used vadagam,you can include mustard seeds,urad dal,channa dal)
Method:
Step by step photo recipes:
1.Add soaked Rice and Toor dal in a pressure cooker.
2.Further add in Turmeric powder and a tsp of Ghee and pressure cook for 5 whistles.
3.Heat a kadai and add Oil and Ghee.
4.Now add vadagam.
5.Further add in Shallots,Tomato,Curry leaves,Coriander leaves and Red Chili and cook till it becomes soft.
6.After add this mixture in pressure cooker and mix every thing with required Salt.
Serve Hot with pickle or Papadam.
Notes:
- Red Chili can be added more or less.

- Soak Toor dal and Rice in water for 1 hr.
- Add soaked Rice and Toor dal in a pressure cooker.
- Further add in Turmeric powder and a tsp of Ghee and pressure cook for 5 whistles.
- Heat a kadai and add Oil and Ghee.
- Now add vadagam.
- Further add in Shallots,Tomato,Curry leaves,Coriander leaves and Red Chili and cook till it becomes soft.
