Peerkangai Thol thuvaiyal Recipe/Peerkangai Chutney

Peerkangai Thuvaiyal is one of the simple and Healthy recipe,which can be prepared within in 15 mins.Peerkangai thuvaiyal goes well with hot rice with a tbsp of ghee and a best side dish for Sambar Rice,Rasam Rice and Curd Rice.In this post I have shared the recipe with step by step photos.Checkout the recipe and make a try.

Ingredients

Peerkangai/Ridge gourd-2 Peerkangai skin peeled

Urad dal-2 tbsp

Red Chili-2

Tamarind-1/4 tsp

Coconut-1 tbsp grated

Garlic-2 Cloves

Salt as required

Oil- 1 tbsp

Step by Step Photo Recipe

1.Peel the skin of Ridge gourd.

2.Add Oil in Kadai.

3.Add Urad dal and roast in low flame,till it turns golden brown.

4.Add Red Chilies.

5.Add Peeled Ridge gourd skin.

6.Now add garlic Cloves.

7.Roast till raw smell goes off.

8.Finally add grated Coconut and cook for 2 mins.

9.Add into blender and allow it to cool down.

10.Add Salt.

11.Blend coarsely and serve.

Notes

1.Adjust Red Chilies more or less according to your spice level.

2.You can also Skip coconut.

Ingredients

  • Peerkangai/Ridge gourd-2 Peerkangai skin peeled
