Hello all, this is my first blog post and i am happy to share Rava Kesari as my first post.This is one of the most popular indian sweets recipe and is the simple on the go sweet recipe.It has other names like Sooji Kesari,Sooji Halwa,Semolina Kesari and Kesari bath.

3.Add 1 cup of water in same kadai and boil.
5.Add Roasted Rava and stir continuously without any lumps still it absorbs water.
8.Now add roasted cashes and raisins.
9.Rava kesari is ready to serve now.
Note:
- Use home made ghee/clarified butter.
- Can Add extra sugar if need as per your taste.
- also add extra ghee if needed.
Rava Kesari Recipe/Sooji Kesari

Rava/Sooji/Semolina – 1/2 cup
Sugar- 3/4 cup
Water – 1 cup
Ghee /Clarified Butter- 2 tsp+1/4 cup
Cardamom Powder/Elachi Powder-1 tsp
Cashew nuts/Kaju-10
Dry grapes/Kishmish/Raisins -10
Yellow food colour a pinch/Kesari food colour/Saffron water
Directions
- Heat 2 tsp of ghee/clarified butter in a pan/kadai and add 10 cashews and 10 raisins in low flame.once it turns into golden brown take and keep it aside.
- Now add Rava/sooji in same kadai and roast for 5 minutes or till it turns aromatic.Keep aside.
- Add 1 cup of water in same kadai and boil.
- Now add Food colour/saffron water.
- Add Roasted Rava and stir continuously without any lumps still it absorbs water.
- Add in a 3/4 cup of sugar or depending upon your taste.
- Stir continuously and add 1/4 cup ghee and add cardamom powder/Elachi.
- Now add roasted cashes and raisins.
- Rava kesari is ready to serve now.
