Ingredients:
Shallots-10 to 15 Slitted
Tomato-1 Sliced
Fenugreek Seeds/Vendhayam-1 tsp
Curry Leaves-2 Spring
Coriander Leaves-2 tsp Chopped
Coconut-1/2 Cup Grated or Chunks
Ginger-1 inch Piece
Garlic Cloves-5 Cloves
Tamarind Pulp-1 big Lemon Size
Chili Powder-1/2 tsp
Coriander Powder-1 tsp
Turmeric Powder-1/4 tsp
Oil-2 tsp
Vadagam-1 tsp
or
Mustard Seeds,Urad dal,Channa dal-1 tsp
Salt as needed.
Step by Step Photo Recipe:
1.Add a tsp of Oil and add Fenugreek Seeds and saute till it becomes light brown.
2.Add Shallots and salt and saute till it becomes soft.
3.Now add tomatoes and curry leaves and mix till it becomes soft and mushy.
4.Add Tamarind pulp,Turmeric powder and Chili Powder and allow till it becomes thick.
5.Add Coconut,Ginger and Garlic in a blender and blend into smooth paste.
6.Once it gets thicken add Coconut mixture and add coriander Powder.
7.In a Saute Pan add 1 tsp Oil and Vadagam or Mustard Seeds,Urad dal and Chana dal and add to garvy.
8.After gravy gets thicken add Coriander leaves and switch off.
Serve with Hot rice or Idly
Notes:
- Add More Chili Powder if needed.
