Urad dal sweet porridge is made by soaking urad dal for 4 to 5 hrs and making a paste.Then the paste is boiles by adding water till raw smell goes off.Add Palm jaggery/jaggery for sweetness.Finally add grated coconut and serve.
Urad dal porridge is best for ladies suffering from backbone.In periods time this is one of the best drink for relieving backpain and this is given to girls when they attain puberty,as it strengthen the uterus.Its is also good for preganant ladies and lactating mother.You can also give it to babies from 9 month.

Ingredients:
Urad dal-1/2 Cup
Palm Jaggery/Jaggery/Sugar-1/4 Cup
Cardamom Pods-3 to 4
Coconut Grated-1/4 Cup
Water-1 Litre
Pre Preparation:
1.Wash and Soak Urad dal in water for 4 to 5 hours.
1.Add Soaked Urad dal in a blender and blend Coarsely.
5.After 10 mins of Stirring add Sugar or Jaggery and Mix Continuously.
Notes:
- If you feel Porridge is too thick at any stage add hot water and stir.

Directions
- Wash and Soak Urad dal in water for 4 to 5 hours.
- Add Soaked Urad dal in a blender and blend Coarsely.
- Add 1/2 Cup Water and blend into Smooth Paste.
- Heat a Heavy based and Wide Kadai and add Urad dal Paste and 1 lt Water.
- Stir Continuously otherwise it will easily Stick to the bottom.
- After 10 mins of Stirring add Sugar or Jaggery and Mix Continuously.
- Once the raw smell of Urad dal goes add Crushed Cardamom Pods.
- Further add grated Coconut and Switch off the Flame after 5 mins.
- Cool Slightly and Serve.
Notes
